Co-Chair

Emma is a co-founder of Summer Hype. Outside of camp, she is a doctor and is training to be a psychiatrist. Emma loves seeing the participants grow in confidence during camp but is terrified of all the site activities!

Co-Chair

Manya is a co-founder of Summer Hype. She works as a Social Worker in the NHS in London. Manya loves hearing Summer Hype participants express themselves on camp but hates not getting enough sleep!

Molly joined summer hype as a youth leader in 2017. She currently works as a civil servant with experience in international policy and programme development. Molly loves all the creativity and enthusiasm that gets put into camp and working in a supportive and fun team with the inspiring leaders who have graduated from Summer Hype’s leadership programme.

Bea joined Summer Hype as a leader in 2023. She’s currently studying for an MA in Sculpture. She loves getting to see the participants try new activities on camp.

Strategic Advisors

Jamal and Marley attended Summer Hype as participants. Marley started in 2015 and Jamal joined in 2018. They completed their leadership training with Summer Hype in 2021 and have been leading on camp since! They have been a huge asset to the teams and have now joined our Board as Strategy Advisors.

Safeguarding Trustee and Secretary

Laura first joined Summer Hype as a youth leader in 2018. She is currently a senior leader and Maths teacher at an alternative provision school in North East London. Laura loves all the ‘big chats’ on camp but hates the early wake ups!

Legal Trustee

Maia became involved in Summer Hype in 2023 as a trustee. Even before being a trustee Maia was blown away by watching Manya and Emma turn Summer Hype from an ambitious idea into an incredible community and is very excited to now be a part of it. Outside of being a trustee Maia is a criminal lawyer, and partner at a law firm specialising in financial crime.
